The Cisneros Family: Busy, busy week

After we got off our high from the KU win, we had a very busy week! On Wednesday, we went to tour one of the local firehouses with my MOMS club. Cohen was very excited about this playdate and excited to see the fire truck up close. The kids got a tour of the house and got to see where the firefighters eat and sleep. Then we got to go to the garage to learn about fire safety and see the fire truck--oh boy!! One fireman got dressed in his entire gear, oxygen mask and all, to teach the kids what a fireman might look like if he went into their house if there was a fire. They tried to get each kid to come up to him and give him a high five. They wanted to teach the kids not to be afraid of the fireman and to go to him and not run away from him in an emergency. I thought it was get for the kids to experience and see him. Both of my kids were a little scared, but both went to him! Finally the best for last, the fire truck. The kids got to see the lights and go up into the truck. Right before we left, four firemen came down the pole for the kids. We had a lot of fun and learned alot too! Thursday afternoon we went to the discovery center for our parent and me classes to learn about Dinosaurs and reptiles of today. The kids learned about dinosaurs, compared their feet to some dinosaur prints, trace themselves and compare their size to a dinosaur and got to touch a turtle and a snake. At the end of class, the teacher went to feed the center's fish and turtles and the kids got to watch. Once again, Cohen really enjoyed the class and had a fun time watching the fish! On Friday, we went to Music & Movement, which is a playdate with my MOMS club. The kids had a lot of fun singing, moving, and dancing to the songs. We got to play with music sticks, bean bags, shakers and other instruments with a few songs. Addi loved this playdate and was clapping and bouncing around the circle! All I have to say, I am glad it's Friday!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
