Yesterday Cohen and I had a date at the Discovery Center! We went for a new class they started for parent and child! This week's lesson was on weather and hedgehogs. They started by coloring and cutting their own hedgehog. Then the teacher read the story "The Mitten", which for those of you that don't know the book, is about a boy who loses his mitten in the woods and all the animals that squeeze into the mitten to stay warm. One of the animals, of course, is a hedgehog!! After the story, the kids learned about winter weather, clouds, bubbles, and hedgehogs. They got to blow bubbles and help the teacher make clouds in a box. Cohen is learning about weather at preschool too and loves it! Everyday he sings a song to me about the weather! At the end of class, the kids got to meet a real hedgehog and pet her. Cohen thought that was pretty cool!! We had a lot of fun and BOTH of us learned alot!
