My MOMS club is helping a refugee family who is going to be placed here in Amarillo. Of course, they get set up in an apartment, but are given nothing to put in the apartment and little money to live on. They relay on churches and organizations to help set up these families. So, we are taking on this family and getting the apartment set up before she & her son arrive. On our way to the Dollar Store today Cohen and I were discussing why we were going to the store. I was explaining how we were going to help a family who was moving here with nothing and so we were going to the store to buy them some of the things they needed because God had blessed us with so much and he needs us to help others in need. So after this conversation, he started another:
Cohen: Mom did you know someone else is moving here too?
Me: Who?
Cohen: Mimi, yep she is moving to Amarillo, Texas
Me: Really
Cohen: Yes mom, because she wants to live here by me because she misses me too much. And did you know that Bob the Builder can build anything, so he is building Mimi a house to live here in.
Me: Wow
Cohen: I think Grandpa is going to move too and Papo and Nana...oh yeah and Sugar (my dad's dog)
Me: Don't you think Lauren would be sad if Mimi moved here?
Cohen: No because Mimi has always lived with Lauren and she needs to share. Lauren can come move here too!
Oh how my child makes me smile!
