Today we went to the pumpkin patch after gymnastics. First of all let me explain how the pumpkin patches around here do not even touch the patches back in Kansas or Alabama. Back in those states you actually get to go to the patch and pick your pumpkin from the field. They have lots of hay mazes, hayrides, etc. Over here in Amarillo, the pumpkin patches are man made areas with hay and pumpkins. They are pretty general, but the kids still had a great time. My friend, Janet and her husband, own one of the pumpkin patches, so she set up a playdate at the patch for our MOMS club. The kids had a ball checking out all the different pumpkins, pulling the wagons and listening to a story about how God helps clean out all our gooey stuff and lights us up with a smile! After the pumpkin patch, the girls and all our kiddos headed over to have lunch and let the kids play at Burger King. We had an eventful morning and were ready for a nap when we got home! I was glad we got to go to this playdate because Cohen missed his field trip to the pumpkin patch this week at school since he was sick. What a great way to end the week!!
